Senior Storage Consultant (EMC VNX/VNXe)
Polar Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a market leading IT Professional Services organisation for an experienced Senior Storage Consultant (EMC VNX/VNXe) to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice, focusing on Storage technologies.
The role can be based from any UK location (reports to the nearest local office) and will involve regular UK wide travel. The Senior Storage Consultant will deliver technical consultancy to enterprise customers, acting as the primary technical resource within a team of consultants.
Roles & Responsibilities
*Assist with Pre-Sales technical enquiries.
*Attend Customer meetings, including presenting solutions from a commercial and business perspective.
*Provide appropriate contributions to Invitations To Tender, Requests For Quote, Requests For Purchase, etc.
*Undertake individual consultancy assignments, analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, recommending solutions.
*Technically manage the design and implementation of solutions.
*Responsible for the quality of all technical deliverables produced by the team.
*Produce / update all assignment documentation.
*Ensure that hand over to relevant support organisation is successfully completed.
*Provide technical support as requested, for internal and external customers.
*Work as part of a team on larger solutions.
*Identify other service and sales opportunities.
*Keep up-to-date with current and future technologies, products and strategies.
*Build and enhance relationships with peers and sales force (Account Managers, Client Directors, Sales Specialists).
Key Requirements
*Previous experience in a senior consultancy position - ideally for a major IT professional services/consultancy organisation.
*Pre-sales and Technical delivery experience with EMC Storage technology solutions - especially VNX/VNXe (essential).
*Appropriate EMC Storage professional certification.
*Ability to design complex technical solutions.
*Excellent communication and consultancy skills both written and oral.
* Ability to provide input into bid, project and technical documents.
*Ability to input into business case development.
*Negotiating skills.
*Ability to present within internal workshops and externally to small audiences.
