Senior technical Consultant - Microsoft Desktop Deployment
Polar Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an international IT professional services market leader for a Senior Technical Consultant, with very strong Microsoft Desktop Deployment experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive pre and post sales enterprise scale consulting experience within a professional services environment, and will focus on Microsoft Desktop migration/deployment technologies.
This is a permanent role, which can be based from any UK location (reporting to the nearest local office), offering an excellent salary and benefits package allied to ongoing training and development and superb career advancement opportunities.
As this is a senior consultancy position, so a willingness to travel UK wide on a regular basis is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
*Assist with Pre-Sales technical enquiries.
*Attend Customer meetings, including presenting solutions from a commercial and business perspective.
*Undertake individual consultancy assignments, analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, recommending solutions.
*Technically manage the design and implementation/delivery of solutions, including managing/leading teams.
*Produce / update all assignment documentation.
*Ensure that hand over to relevant support organisation is successfully completed.
*Work as part of a team on larger solutions.
*Identify other service and sales opportunities.
Skills Required:
* Core Skills - Strong Skills in Desktop Rollouts / Deployments
*Deployment experience - mass rollouts of Windows 7, XP and Vista.
*Microsoft Deployment Toolkit or BDD 2007.
*Deployment Toolset(s) - System Centre Configuration Manager or Systems Management Server 2003.
*Desktop Application Knowledge - Office 2003 and 2007, Internet Explorer.
*Report Writing and Documentation.
*Presentations and general consultancy skills.
*Current MCP/MCSE/MCITP essential - additional accreditations with other vendors desirable
* Optional Skills - Opportunities to develop skills / consult on other Technologies.
*Active Directory and Microsoft Server knowledge.
*Desktop Virtualisation - Including Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Vmware View.
*Application Virtualisation.
*Microsoft Exchange / Sharepoint / Office Communication Server.
*Microsoft Security Products - Forefront UAG / IAG.
*Contribute to Business Cases / ROI Studies.
