The 15 Minute Club concept engages three elements.

The ongoing programme requires 15 minute periods to be allocated for personal commitment affirmations every day.

It bestows on each member feeling the need for support or comradeship, the privilege to telephone any other member at any time to ask for up to 15 minutes of their time.

As the number of members increases, individuals will be encouraged to lead the formation of local groups in different parts of the country.

The provenance of the 15 Minute Club

The club was first created by officers of the Royal Tank Regiment in the nineties, when there were four regiments and many junior officers were being made redundant.

Former officers who had already established careers in civilian life recorded their occupations and telephone numbers so that young officers, many of whom had gone directly from school or university in to the regiment, could seek guidance in choosing a career by simply telephoning and saying "my name is --- and i would like 15 minutes of your time, when can you see me?"

Today the Colonels Commandant of the Royal Tank Regiment and the existing club members have given their support to this programme for all ranks and as the aims and objectives are much the same now as they were then, have agreed that we should use the same name.
